Cyanotype Printing Workshop

Saturday 10 August 10.00-2.30 £35

This Cyanotype workshop with Joe Purches introduces participants to the enchanting world of alternative photographic printing processes. This hands-on session covers the history and basics of cyanotype, a 19th-century technique that uses a photosensitive solution to create striking blue and white prints.

Attendees will learn to coat paper with the cyanotype solution, expose it to sunlight with objects or negatives, and develop their prints in water. This workshop is perfect for artists, photographers, and hobbyists eager to explore a unique and creative form of expression.

Participants will learn to prepare and apply cyanotype chemicals, understand the exposure process, and develop their prints. They will gain an appreciation for historical photographic techniques and create their own cyanotype prints to take home, sparking inspiration for future projects.

Suitable for beginners to more experienced wanting to further their knowledge
