Poetry Workshops
In response to our current exhibition of paintings by Sarah Lloyd MA: the Poetics of Space we invited Ian Munday, published writer, thinker and art history graduate to lead a POETRY WORKSHOP
He has planned a series of 3 x 2 hour workshops on consecutive Wednesdays exploring how one creative discipline generates another.
Music can be inspired by literature and poetry: think of Pushkin and Tchaikovsky, Schubert and Goethe & Britten and almost any English poet going.
Artists similarly can be inspired by literature: Dore & Dante, Holman Hunt & Keats, Ceri Richards and Dylan Thomas
Poets - by anyone or anything!
In these three workshops we will be aiming to explore our poetic vocabulary around the visual arts with the aim of producing poems to reflect visual works currently on display.
Come along and explore the potential poet in YOU.
FREE, Open to all, donations welcome. Paper and pencils supplied. No experience necessary, to book: email office@midwalesarts.org.uk
