MOSAIC COMMUNITY WORKSHOP
THURSDAY 22 MAY, 10AM-12.30pm AND 12.30PM-2.30PM
DONATIONS APPRECIATED.
The mosaic workshop is happening this Thursday 22 May and we will be working together on a flat surface. The aim is to create a mosaic representing key Caersws features including the river and railway, the park, and wild life including frogs and fish.
I will provide a wide choice of mosaic tesserae including mosaic tiles, china and ceramics, beads and glass. If you have your own pieces - chipped or broken china, beads, pieces that have a personal meaning for - please do bring them along and we can talk about if and how they might be incorporated into this project which, when complete, will be displayed at Caersws Railway Station.
Also, bring an apron to protect your clothes. We will supply goggles to protect your eyes.
If you have not worked with mosaics before, I will be teaching you how to cut safely and how to apply the tessarae securely.
We will be starting promptly at 10am, so please feel free to get here a little earlier to settle, get a cup of tea or coffee (there is a great café at MWAC which also provides light lunches) and use the facilities.
If you have any queries, please get in contact with MWAC by phone or email.
